Vatne funeral home was started by Sylvi Vatne Solberg in 1973.
On January 1st, 2008, after 34 years of operation, Sylvi sold the agency to Ragnhild Thorsheim Kristing, who also has roots in Seim. Vatne funeral home was then incorporated into Gravferdsgruppen. On April 1st, 2020, the entirety of Gravferdsgruppen was sold to Dahls funeral homes.
Vatne funeral home are located in Knarvik, next door to Knarvik flower shop.
